Armthorpe Welfare have made two more signings ahead of the new season as Jordan Buckham and Jason Kearsley put pen to paper.
Both are attacking players, with Buckham joining from Rossington Main, although he will be dual registered with Pontefract Collieries in the Evo-Stik League East Division. Kearsley is a local lad who has played for Welfare before but spent last season at Askern FC.
Manager Mike Carmody said: “It’s really pleasing to get Jordan over the line. He’s a tremendous talent and someone I’ve tried to get in all summer. He suits our style perfectly, is young and energetic with lots of ability. I’m really looking forward to working with him this season.”
Carmody added: “Jason is a player who has been with us before. He’s come back this season and looks bigger as well as strong and hungry to succeed. I’ve always been an admirer of his ability. He’s another local boy who we are looking to progress this season.”
