Armthorpe Welfare have announced the signing of midfielder Mick Collins from Toolstation NCEL Premier Division side Staveley MW.

Collins spent much of last season with Welfare, making 22 appearances for the club with 5 of those being as substitute. He scored one goal, ironically away at Staveley in a 2-1 defeat.

Manager Mike Carmody said, “I am delighted to have Mick back at the club. He’s a local lad with loads of ability who we wanted to keep during the summer but he chose to move to play higher level football at Staveley.

“He can play in numerous positions including at right back and is a great addition for us.”
