Ashton United’s Casian Anghel has earned a professional deal at Spanish Segunda División club CD Leganés.

The young attacking midfielder has also been doing a football coaching and management degree at UCFB.

Anghel explained on Twitter: “After graduating, I decided to fully focus on playing football for a while without having any plan “B” going on. I looked for full-time training and England couldn’t offer this to me just yet.

“For this reason, I’ve been guided towards other countries.”

The Romania native also said: “I want to thank @AshtonUnitedFC, its staff, players, fans, volunteers for the past two seasons. Ashton was my first club in England and I am grateful for the way I have been welcomed by the club from day 1.

“Wishing you all the best in the future, see you soon.”
