Aveley manager Keith Rowland was immensely proud of his side despite the Millers’ 5-0 loss to Notts County – and hopes the Magpies head to Wembley.

Rowland praised Neal Ardley’s side which ran out convincing winners with Jim O’Brien, Tom Crawford, Sam Osborne, Kyle Wootton and Scott Wilson all on the scoresheet.

Rowland felt the occasion got the better of some of his players, who are all part-time, but said Notts never gave them any peace.

“Credit to Notts County,” he said.

“I thought they were excellent from the off. They didn’t give us any time on the ball and didn’t take their foot off it. Fair play to them. I hope they go and play at Wembley.”
