Bradford Park Avenue`s head coach Alex Meechan has been relieved of his duties, having failed to win any of the eleven games so far this season.

The decision comes following an eighth consecutive defeat, equalling the record of the re-formed club.

Avenue crashed out of the Emirates FA Cup at the first hurdle on Saturday at home against Salford City, and sit bottom of the table, having picked up just three points from their ten league games so far.

The Board has confirmed that Meechan will continue his role as the coach of the new Avenue academy.

The club hope to name a successor in the next few days.
