Bradford Park Avenue have signed centre-back Corbin Shires on loan.
A one-month loan deal has been agreed for the 18-year-old with Sky Bet League Two side Mansfield Town and now Shires is available for tomorrow’s trip to Brackley Town.
The central defender has been at Mansfield since the summer of 2014, and has made a handful of appearances for the first-team.
Shires played for the Stags for the first time in the Capital One Cup against Sheffield Wednesday – the club he started his youth career at.
He also spent time as a youngster playing senior football at Hallam and Worksop Town, before moving to Mansfield at the age of 16.
Last season, he spent time on loan at Carlton Town in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League First Division South.
At 6?7?, Shires brings height and some much-needed cover to the defensive area, with Shane Killock, Matt Hill and Ryan Toulson all picking up injuries of late.
He joins fellow loanees Joe Cracknell and Joe Kearns, borrowed from Bradford City and Southport respectively.
Bradford have also signed Joe Noblet on a dual registration deal with Hallmark Security League side Squires Gate.
Noblet will continue to play the majority of his football at School Road, but provides a back-up option should Avenue require it.
