Bradford Park Avenue striker James Walshaw has joined Frickley Athletic on a month’s loan.

Walshaw joins the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League outfit initially until February 13.

The front man has made 19 appearances in the National League North this season, with nine of those coming from the start.

However he has found opportunities difficult to come by due to the goal scoring form of Chib Chilaka and Richard Marshall.

The 31-year-old has scored four goals in the league since joining the club from Harrogate Town in the summer.

Avenue manager Martin Drury said: “James has gone out to get some much needed regular gametime.

“He will come back to us fitter and stronger and we look forward to his return.”
