Bradford Park Avenue winger Jason St Juste has been called up to the St Kitts & Nevis international squad.
The Sugar Boyz face two matches in the first round of qualification for the 2017 Caribbean Cup, lining up against Aruba on March 26 and Antigua & Barbuda on March 29.
St Juste is required to be with the squad from March 23 to March 30, meaning he will miss
Avenue’s Vanarama National League North matches with Chorley, AFC Fylde and Harrogate Town.
The 30-year-old lined up for his country in their friendlies in Europe last November, when they defeated Andorra 1-0 but went down 3-0 in Estonia.
He started both matches, being substituted off in the 87th minute of the loss to Magnus Pehrsson’s side.
St Juste was first called into international duty in 2014, also for Caribbean Cup qualification matches. He has featured five times for his country.
Caribbean Cup qualification is complicated and long winded, but should St Kitts participate in each round, St Juste could face further call-ups in May, October and November.
He joins Boston United’s Zephaniah Thomas and Tranmere Rovers’ Lois Maynard- formerly of FC Halifax Town- in the squad, and flies out with them next Tuesday.
