Brightlingsea Regent have appointed Angelo Harrop As New First Team Head Coach & Mike Wallace As First Team Performance Analysis.

Angelo will need no introduction to Brightlingsea Regent fans and local football supporters as Angelo had been in charge of Stanway Rovers since 2014, where he resigned from his position two weeks ago.

Angelo will take up the vacant role left by Dean Well after he departed the club last Monday afternoon following family commitments, Dean was unable to give Brightlingsea Regent his full attention which he felt that the club deserved and needed going forward.

Angelo will go down as Stanway’s most successful manager in their history leading the club to a mid-table finish in his first season after taking over when the club were languishing in 17th position. The following two seasons Angelo guided the club to third place in the league in consecutive seasons, their highest to date. As well as, record equalling runs in the FA Vase and FA Trophy along the way.

Angelo is also involved in the Colne Football College, coaching the First Team and holds a UEFA B Coaching Licence. He has had footballing spells for Needham Market, Leiston and Colchester United as a scholar.

Also, Joining the first team is Mike Wallace as Performance Analysis, you may have seen Mike in and around the club already filming matches so the management and players can refer to areas to improve in the match scenario.

Mike is from the Wirral, Tranmere and graduated from UEL in Sports Performance and Development. Mike spend two years at Charlton Athletic and has also completed the FA Level 2 Coaching and youth Modules 1 and 2. Mike has also spent time working in the youth academies at Peterborough United, Borehamwood and Colchester United. Mike joins Brightlingsea Regent to offer his experience to help the club push on to the next level.
