Bamber Bridge have turned down FC United of Manchester’s approach for manager Neil Reynolds.
FC United have been without a manager since player-boss and club legend Tom Greaves stepped down at the end of August. The club, currently bottom of the Vanarama National League North, spoke to Hyde United manager Darren Kelly recently about the vacant position, though the former Oldham Athletic boss opted to stay with the Tigers.
Now it has been confirmed that FC United made an official approach to Bamber Bridge for their manager Neil Reynolds, but the Lancashire Post report that Brig have turned down this request. Managing director Alan Grant is quoted as saying: “I can confirm that there has been an official approach for Neil from FC United.
“The state of play is that the club have decided not to move ahead with FC United and have declined the approach.”
