Darren Currie expressed his desire to bring in a new striker after Barnet drew 1-1 with League One side Wycombe Wanderers at The Hive.
The hosts took the lead through Dan Sparkes on 53 minutes but were denied the win right at the death courtesy of a Wycombe trialist.
New signing Scott Loach started on his home debut and after the game, the Bees boss confirmed the next position he wants to bolster this summer:
“I need a centre-forward, it’s been spoke about since the very first day I took over”, he said. “I think it’s been obvious for the past six months.”
“We need a centre-forward, we need one that offers us different something different to what we have.
“Josh Walker is coming back and he’s in training but he’s going to be a long way off any type of level that he’s capable of but he’ll be a plus.
“They’re all of a particular type. I’m looking for a different type. I can say this for sure, I’ve been in for everyone, trust me.
“I know what I need and I’ve been after him for six months.”
