Barnet manager Tim Flowers was left again last night to rue the team’s soft underbelly this season.

His team are 11 points from National League safety following last night’s 2-0 home defeat to Wrexham.

The former England goalkeeper, who took over as Bees boss in mid-December, told the club’s YouTube channel: “We’re a team of losers at the end of the day. We’re losing football matches.

“It’s alright going ‘oh yeah, well done, you tried’ – come on, that’s your job.

“Man up, face facts, we find a way to get beat. We do alright, we do some good things, and then we melt, we melt away.

“So how many times have we said this season ‘okay, that was a decent point’ and then we go away and it’s three, four, five again?

“Because, I don’t know, we can’t sustain mentally or physically the rigours of a National League season, and that is the truth.”
