Bromley have signed goalkeeper Mark Cousins from Barnet.
The 32-year-old shot-stopper spent his youth with Fulham and Colchester United, before turning professional with the latter and spending nine years with the Essex outfit, also enjoying loan spells at Whitton United, Staines Town, Enfield Town and Yeading.
In June 2014, Cousins made the move to then League Two outfit Dagenham & Redbridge, and spent four years with the club, making a total of 126 appearances in all competitions. At the end of the 2017-18 season, Cousins followed former manager John Still to Barnet, where he spent the entire 2018-19 season, playing a key part in the Bees’ impressive FA Cup run, making a total of 53 appearances in all competitions with 20 clean sheets along the way.
Upon signing, Cousins commented: “I’m really pleased to be joining Bromley, a club that seems to be going in the right direction. I’m very much looking forward to working with Neil and of course Jim Stannard, who I worked with at Dagenham.”
Manager Neil Smith added: “Mark comes with experience, he’s played at this level for a while now. I needed to freshen things up at the back and get a little more experience in, and hopefully we can keep more clean sheets next season.”
