Tim Flowers has been appointed as Barnet’s new manager.
The Premier League-winning former goalkeeper replaces Peter Beadle, who was announced as leaving the role on Sunday. Flowers was named Macclesfield Town manager in late-August, just over a fortnight prior to the club being wound up in the High Court.
The ex-England international, who led Solihull Moors to a runners-up finish in the National League two seasons ago, told Barnet’s website: “First and foremost, I am absolutely delighted to be named manager of Barnet Football Club, it is a club of rich tradition and I can’t wait to get started.
“It is a community club, who need the supporters back at the heart of it, and I intend to bring the success that they deserve. Looking from the outside, it is a club that needs galvanising, and it’ll be my job to do that from the outset.”
