Barnet defender Darnell Smith has joined Hungerford Town on an initial 28-day loan and played the full 90 minutes on Saturday in a 1-0 loss away to Wealdstone in the National League South.
The only goal of the game came in the last minute when Wealdstone we awarded a penalty after Ian Hemming’s foul on Abo Eisa. Eisa took the penalty and scored, meaning Smith couldn’t get a clean sheet on his debut for the club.
However, despite this, it was a good performance by not only Smith but the side as a whole, especially against a side who are now unbeaten in eight league matches. Hungerford sit 17th in the table, while The Stones are up to 10th.
