Chelmsford City have completed the signing of defender Jazzi Barnum-Bobb.
Having been born in Enfield, the 22-year-old defender has spent the majority of his career across the border in Wales, counting Cardiff City and Newport County as his former employers. After progressing through the Watford youth team, the Hornets starlet moved to the Welsh capital in the summer of 2014.
Barnum-Bobb made just one start for the Bluebirds – a start in the League Cup tie against Coventry City – however manager felt the defender was surplus to requirements and Ole Gunnar Solskjær sent the defender on loan to Newport County in October 2015. The young defender originally joined the Exiles on a one-month loan, however his loan spell was extended and he made a total of 12 appearances during his time at Rodney Parade.
When his contract ran out at the end of the 2015-16 season, Barnum-Bobb rejoined his loan side on a permanent basis. The defender made 27 appearances during his second spell with the Exiles, however he also signed for Torquay United where he made seven appearances during a seven-month spell.
Barnum-Bobb was released from Rodney Parade in February 2018.
