Micky Moore wants to become a “lucky manager instead of an unlucky one” after he watched his Barrow AFC side lose in the dying seconds at Harlepool United.

Barrow matched their opponents at Victoria Park, but were undone in the 97th minute when Michael Woods headed in to give all three points to the home side.

It was the second time in their six-match winless run where the Bluebirds have lost a game in the last-minute, and Moore is desperate for a dose of fortune to go in their favour.

“Hartlepool will be honest enough to say that they got something they didn’t deserve to,” said Moore, whose side lie just one place and one point above the National League drop-zone.

“AFC Fylde said the same thing the other week. I want to be the lucky manager instead of an unlucky one.”
