Barrow AFC have added physio Matt Butterfield to their backroom staff.
Having graduated from a degree in Sports Rehabilitation, Matt has worked for Bolton Wanderers for four and a half years, initially with the academy, and his role has evolved over the course of the time to work with the U23 squad and with the first team squad during their promotion to the Championship last season. He is also qualified as a Physiotherapist and is currently awaiting HCPC registration.
Here’s what Matt had to say about joining the Bluebirds; “I’ve joined Barrow AFC as I feel it’s a club that matches the level of ambition that I have to succeed within the sport with the clear aim of promotion to the Football League. It has always been my goal to be the Head Physiotherapist of a Football League club and having spoken with the manager I feel that the club is an excellent fit for myself and hopefully I can play a role in making this a reality.”
