Ady Pennock has heaped praise on Barrow AFC’s travelling support for their unrelenting backing – and hopes the team will receive exactly the same at Holker Street on Saturday.

The Bluebirds have been cheered on by their vocal fans as they claimed back-to-back National League wins over Eastleigh and Gateshead – ending a seven-month wait for victory on the road.

Pennock and his players were sure to take time to thank them after both matches, applauding them from the field as they were clapped off it.

He hopes it will be the same again against Bromley, telling supporters he and the team are not content merely to have climbed out of the relegation zone, but want to keep pushing up the table.

“The away support has been absolutely phenomenal,” said the AFC manager, who has three wins from his four games in charge to date. “They’ve gone to Eastleigh and then all the way up to Gateshead, and I take my hat off to them and the noise they make.”
