Ady Pennock is confident Grant Holt will be part of his Barrow AFC set-up in time for Saturday’s National League match against Macclesfield.
The former Norwich City, Aston Villa and Wigan Athletic front-man is set to return to the Bluebirds as a player/coach 14 years after ending his non-league days and starting his meteoric rise from Holker Street.
Barrow confirmed on Saturday they had put in seven days notice with Holt’s club Kings Lynn about acquiring his services.
The announcement came after the Kings Lynn chairman Stephen Cleeve said the 36-year-old Carlisle native had left the club and was heading to Holker Street with a deal already done.
