Barrow AFC have followed up the signing of striker Shaun Tuton with the arrival of midfielder Jack Thomas from League Two side Mansfield Town until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old has made eleven appearances for the Stags this season, nine of which from the substitutes’ bench.

Thomas made his professional debut as a substitute in Mansfield`s 3-0 home victory over Rochdale in April 2014.

A graduate of the Stags academy set-up, Thomas captained the youth team in 2013/14, where he impressed on a regular basis and helped them to a second-place finish in the FCYA Midland Division.

Thomas had a spell on loan at Hednesford Town before returning to the club in February 2015 and impressed when given the chance in the starting XI and featured frequently towards the end of last season – notably scoring in a defeat to Portsmouth at One Call Stadium.
