Barrow have signed Jacob Blyth and Josh Kay.
Nuneaton-born Blyth, 25, is a forward and at 6ft 3in will be looking to make his mark on the National League this season. He started his career in non-league at Nuneaton Griff, Bedworth United and Leamington before being snapped up by Leicester City in 2012.
His four-year spell at the Foxes saw him have loan spells at Burton Albion, Notts County, Northampton Town, Cambridge and Blackpool. He joined SPL side Motherwell in June 2016, before leaving in August last year.
Kay is no stranger to the North West. The energetic, box to box midfielder was born in Blackpool, spending his youth career at AFC Fylde.
He signed for Barnsley on an 18-month contract in February 2016 and made his first team debut for the Oakwell side against Bristol City in October 2016. A short loan to Tranmere followed before a move to Chesterfield in January this year, where he made his debut against Accrington Stanley in League 2.
He joins on a two-year deal.
