Barrow AFC have completed the transfer of goalkeeper Andrew Firth from Liverpool for an undisclosed fee.

The promising youngster has been at Anfield for ten years, joining as an eleven year old, but has decided to opt for first team football in the National League at this stage of his career.

Firth, a Cumbrian by birth, still has roots in Wigton and went straight into the squad for Saturday’s friendly against Southport.

Ironically, the young stopper played his last game for Liverpool U23s against Southport last Sunday.
