Barrow AFC’s players are continuing to remain focused when it comes to maintaining their fitness during the coronavirus pandemic, according to club captain Josh Granite.
Granite had only recently got himself back to full fitness after struggling to overcome a knee injury that came after two months out from recovering from a broken collarbone.
Now, along with the rest of the Bluebirds’ squad, the 27-year-old is having to train individually from home, with him having no access to the club’s training base at Hopwood Hall College or any gym, following their closure last week.
Granite said: “We’ve all been sent programmes by the fitness coaches. Everyone is ticking over and, knowing the group, I know everyone will be doing them.
“It’s not a case of the lads getting unfit, although match sharpness might be a thing because, obviously, if you’re not playing games regularly, as we are doing, than that’s always going to be a thing.”
