Head coach Scott Bartlett bolstered his Weston-super-Mare squad by signing highly-rated teenager Tommy Anderson in time to make an impressive debut at Eastbourne Borough on Saturday.
Anderson is a product of the Aston Villa academy until the age of 15 where he joined Bartlett at South Gloucestershire & Stroud College and Forest Green Rovers` academy.
Bartlett said: “I know Tommy really well, he is a terrific footballer who has a bright future in the game. He can operate anywhere in midfield or as a wide forward and is a very level headed young man. I was delighted with his debut on Saturday and look forward to working with him at senior level. At 17 he is on a learning curve but where better to do that than Weston-super-Mare”.
