Barton Town have announced the signing of James Piercy from North Ferriby United.
The 22-year-old is a centre half who has been virtually ever-present for Ferriby this season, as well as captaining the side. He joins the club for the remainder of the season.
He is reunited with Swans boss Dave Ricardo, who managed him at Hall Road Rangers. Piercy was vice-captain when the side won the NCEL Division One title in the 2016/17 season.
Barton boss Ricardo is happy to have signed him: “You will see in the Barton blue tonight James Piercy for the first time, James is someone I have worked with previously at Hall Road and more recently has been an excellent captain of North Ferriby.
“James is a leader and stout defender who pops up with a few goals every season. This signing shows we are planning for the remainder of this season but especially next season already.”
