Several first-choice players were unavailable for Barwell’s Tuesday night draw against Halesowen Town. Barwell were forced into three changes across the back four, with Elliot Percival, Michael Townsend and Eddy Nisevic replaced by Cameron Gilchrist, Liam Kay and Declan Towers.

Speaking after the game, manager Jimmy Ginnelly gave an injury update.

“Percival’s got a very nasty gash on his leg, in three different places. He could be out for a week or two. Hopefully it’s a quick recovery because he’s a young lad.

“Poor old Eddy was poorly two weeks ago, and then he thinks he’s had a dodgy pizza on Monday night and was raced to the hospital with food poisoning.

“Michael Townsend was missing tonight due to family issues. I’m sure if Michael had played tonight, we’d have won the game. He’s a fantastic defender and we need him back as quickly as possible.”
