Barwell striker Romario Martin believes his winning goal against Coalville Town on Tuesday night was well earned as part of a great team performance.

The 17-year-old came off the bench before finding the net in the final minutes to guide the Canaries into the next round of the Integro League Cup.

The goal was also the striker’s first for the club since arriving in early October; something the teenager feels is now a weight off his shoulders.

Martin joked: “The gaffer’s been on to me about getting my first goal for the club”.

“It feels good to get on the scoresheet and it was a well deserved goal because the boys worked hard.

“They did well with the ball and it was the final product that they needed.

“I came on and was able to deliver it”.
