Basford United face a challenging Easter weekend with two games against sides fighting relegation from the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Premier Division.

Marine are the visitors to Greenwich Avenue on Saturday afternoon, and on Monday, Basford travel to Mickleover Sports, both games kicking off at 3pm.

Basford need to win both games to maintain their own slim chance of making the promotion play-offs.

Boss Liam Hearn said: “What’s going on around us in the league does not really matter, we are entirely focused on winning our remaining games and finishing the season the best we can.

“It will be difficult playing teams who are scrapping for points to avoid relegation, we will have to match their desire and will to win, there can be no holding back.”
