Basford United chairman Chris Munroe has spoken of his delight at securing six more of the club’s players on extended contracts.
The Northern Premier Division side announced earlier this week that Callum Chettle, Marcus Marshall, Kane Richards, Ryan Wilson, Kieran Preston and Stefan Galinski had committed for next season.
Speaking to the club website, Munroe said: “This is brilliant work by Chets (manager Steve Chettle) to have so many players locked in or with contract options that we will carefully review.
“No doubt Steve might want to add the odd addition to what is without question a strong group, but time is now on our side to target such.
“I have spoken at length with Steve and we have an excellent group of academy players entering their second year, as well as some excellent young squad prospects who are on long-term deals, which will add to our existing group to put us in outstanding shape.”
