Basildon United have relieved head coach Glen Kendall of his duties after just one match in charge.
Kendall was appointed as John Sussex’s successor in midweek, but the Isthmian North side were condemned to a 6-1 defeat by Hornchurch in the second qualifying round of the FA Trophy.
And vice-chairman Lee Connor confirmed Kendall and his backroom staff have left the club.
Connor said: “We have had second thoughts and feel decisions were made far too quickly on the appointment of Glen Kendall and his management team.”
