Jerry Gill was left impressed after witnessing Bath City’s biggest league win of the season against Gloucester.
The Romans roared back from a Gloucester goal midway through the first half to triumph convincingly 5-1. That result kept the play-off places well within reach heading down the final stretch – City are now just five points and three places shy of seventh in National League South.
Entering Monday’s West Country derby, Gill was under no illusions as to the importance.
“It was a must-win game if I’m being honest,” he admitted. “If we’d lost it would have been too much [to get into the play-offs] but we’re in a good position again now.
“There’s a lot of work to do but this will give the lads a lot of confidence going forward.”
