There is no more margin for error if Bath City are to reach the National League South play-offs.

That was the view of boss Jerry Gill, who was left shell-shocked as his side contrived to throw away three points at Wealdstone, a match they were largely in control of. Matt Richards’ penalty had the Romans in the lead at half-time – an advantage they had plenty of opportunities to double before Wealdstone found their equaliser.

And after Antoine Semenyo was dismissed with nine minutes to play, harshly in the view of his manager, Taofiq Olomowewe secured all three points for the hosts when he nodded home a corner.

The loss leaves Bath five points from the play-offs, with the final spots occupied by Truro City and Chelmsford, who each have two matches in hand.

“We’ve got to win every game now,” Gill said. “Win four games and see where it puts us. I wanted to win five out of five.

“Will it be enough? I don’t know.”
