Bath City FC has officially unveiled its new plans for Twerton Park stadium and Twerton High Street, Somerset Live report.

Alongside their development partners Greenacre Capital, the club is hoping to make dramatic changes to the area, including a new grandstand for the football ground, a gym, a 3G football pitch, a community hub and new housing.

Bath City FC chairman John Reynolds said the plans will benefit businesses, the community and give sports opportunities for children.

Bath City FC proposed the extensive plans to secure their financial future and their future in Twerton.

The club became community-owned two years ago and is hoping that their new plans can benefit the whole community.

Club director, John Reynolds, who was “born and bred” in Twerton says that the club isn’t just preparing for the short-term but wants to help the community in the long-term as well.

He said: “This isn’t about what we’re going to achieve in the next two to three years, it’s about what we’ll be doing for the next forty to fifty years.”
