Bath City stood out as the ideal destination for new striker Ryan Brunt as he seeks to enjoy his football once again.

The frontman became Jerry Gill’s third signing in as many days last Friday, following Adam Mann and Robbie Cundy into Twerton Park.

Brunt joins the club having been released by Exeter City in the summer, where he found game-time tough to come by.

He had previously been at Plymouth Argyle, where a serious knee injury at Barnet in March 2015 left him out of action for nine months before his eventual switch to the Grecians.

Following his release, the 25-year-old, who also runs TrainFit, a successful gym in Exeter, came in contact with Bath, whose offer of part-time football proved a huge lure on and off the pitch.

“I’m happy to be here,” Brunt said. “I’ve had a troublesome two/two-and-a-half years where I haven’t played much competitive football.”
