Chelmsford City have agreed terms with striker Shaun Batt for the upcoming season.
The former Leyton Orient and Peterborough United frontman joined the Clarets ahead of last season, moving to the Melbourne Community Stadium thanks to the club’s 12th Man Fund. Scoring three times from 28 appearances, a number of injuries picked up throughout the season meant the 31-year-old found game time limited.
However, the experienced striker produced a number of promising performances when on the pitch, as well as netting against Essex rivals Braintree Town on New Year’s Day.
Having featured a number of times upon his return from injury towards the end of last season’s campaign, City boss Rod Stringer has placed his faith in the striker ahead of the upcoming term.
