Hampton & Richmond Borough have announced the signing of forward Shamir Mullings from National League high-flyers Forest Green Rovers on an initial one-month loan deal.
The 23-year-old joined Forest Green from Chelmsford City back in November last year, and has been given the chance to keep his match fitness up by joining the Beavers getting consistent game time.
Whilst at Melbourne Stadium, Mullings had scored 14 goals in twenty-two appearances for the Clarets.
Mullings began his career at Southend United as a 16-year-old, signing professional forms in 2012 with the Shrimpers, and spending time at Thurrock, Tilbury and Harlow Town in loan deals.
He moved to Bromley for 2013/14 but ended up spending time on loan at Thamesmead Town before joining Havant & Waterlooville in August 2014.
He then joined Chelmsford from the Hawks during the summer of 2016, before making the move to the Rovers last November.
Hampton manager Alan Dowson said: “Bringing a player of Shamir’s calibre in at this stage of the season is an unbelievable coup for the club. If anyone out there was questioning whether we were going to go through the motions for the last twelve games, I think that this gives them the answer.
“We were inches away from bringing in a defender from a League One club as well, and we hope to conclude that on Monday”.
