Hampton & Richmond Borough`s play-off hopes in the Vanarama National League South have taken a blow with the loss of Shamir Mullings.

Mullings has returned to National League side Forest Green Rovers at the end of his month`s loan having made six appearances and scoring one goal.

The Beavers enquired to the possibility of extending the arrangement until the end of the season, but with Forest Green in the thick of the promotion shake-up, the request was politely rejected.

Hampton manager Alan Dowson said: “It`s a shame we couldn’t extend Shamir for the last month, and with Duncan Culley missing Saturday after last weekend’s red card, it leaves our options up front limited. We thank Forest Green and Shamir for their support over the last month and wish them well for the run in”.
