Hampton & Richmond Borough have signed former Australian under-23 international defender Sam Gallagher.
The 25-year-old joins the Beavers, subject to international clearance, following a second spell with Manly United.
Gallagher graduated from the youth team of Sydney FC before periods at Central Coast Mariners and Melbourne Victory where he struggled for first-team football.
Gallagher joined Newcastle Jets in time for the 2014/15 A League season after brief stints with Richmond, Norwegian side IF Birkebeineren and Vietnamese side Hanoi T&T, where he made eleven appearances and scored 2 goals.
However, it was a troubled time at Jets, who ended bottom of the table, and after being one of several players axed by Newcastle, Gallagher re-joined Manly halfway through the New South Wales NPL One season.
He represented Australia at under-20 level eighteen times and played at the Under-20 World Cup in 2011.
He then won one cap at under-23 level.
