With the registration deadline just over a week away, Hampton & Richmond Borough manager Alan Dowson has awarded three of this seasons academy students by registering them on first-team forms.
Second-year students Brandon Watts and Callum O’Reilly are joined by Imran Uche from the first year.
All three have been regulars in the Beavers` under-18 side that currently top the Ryman Youth League West Division, Watts and O’Reilly have also played a major role in Middlesex FA reaching the Final of the FA County Youth Cup.
Seventeen-year-old Watts is comfortable at both centre-back and right-back and reads the game very well for a young player.
O’Reilly, 18, is a technically gifted wide player, with a knack scoring crucial goals and Uche, who was on the books of Southend United, can operate both as a centre-back or holding midfielder who is very composed on the ball and only 16 years old stands 6′ 4″ and is still growing.
They join fellow academy student Tom Peel who registered earlier in the season, making his debut against Dunstable Town in the Emirates FA Cup.
Dowson said: “The under-18s are enjoying an excellent season, and it is always pleasing to be able to give youngsters the opportunity to step up, credit must go to Koo Dumbuya, Steve Bates and the academy staff for the work they have carried out in the players` development”.
