Jake Beesley is hoping that Bradford (Park Avenue) maintain their aura this season.
The 21-year-old striker, who is the son of former Sheffield United and Leeds United defender Paul, has signed for the season at Horsfall Stadium from Salford City.
Speaking to the club’s website, he said of his new club’s reputation from last campaign:
“The main thing was that Bradford were a hard team to play against.
“Not many teams liked to come up against them and hopefully we can go further than we did last season.”
Avenue were beaten in the play-off semi-finals by Brackley Town, who, ironically, Mark Bower’s team host in their opening fixture on Saturday.
