After signing a new contract with Tamworth, goalkeeper James Belshaw is making plans on and off the pitch.

Commenting on his contract extension, James said “I just feel that Tamworth have been really good to me and, on the other side of the coin, I have repaid that with good performances. So I was delighted to sign and the messages, the texts, the calls I have had since agreeing have been incredible.”

Belshaw also has exciting plans off the field and said: “I am going to be setting up a goalkeeping academy in Tamworth, that’s something that I am putting into place. I remember the people who gave up time to work with me as a young lad and I’d like to do the same, get young lads in the area on board and help their development.

I want to see young kids, playing football, with smiles on their faces, and I am looking forward to getting that in place.”
