Dagenham & Redbridge have announced another new additions to the current squad, with striker Paul Benson putting pen-to-paper.

Benson needs no introduction to Daggers fans. He originally joined in 2005 and in the 2006/07 season he was the teams and the league top scorer with 28 goals, helping the club seal promotion to the Football League.

At the end of the 2009/10 season, Benson scored a goal at Wembley Stadium as Dagenham & Redbridge beat Rotherham United to gain promotion to League One. That summer he would depart for Charlton Athletic after making over 150 appearances for the Daggers.

Benson, who is now 36 years old, joins the Daggers after leaving Luton Town at the end of last season and has signed an initial one-year deal.
