Rushall Olympic have completed the signing of Ciaran Best from League One outfit Bury, as they prepare to face Walsall here at Dales Lane on Tuesday evening.
“A change of management meant that he was unlucky not to get a professional deal at Bury,” said manager, Wayne Thomas on his new acquisition. “All the feedback that I have had on him suggests that he should have been taken on as a pro there.
“He has shown a lot of good qualities in the pre-season games that he has played for us; he has a superb attitude and the kind of work ethic that I am looking for.”
The 20 year-old is an energetic and determined left-back.
He joins last season’s Player of the Year, Sam Whittall, Joe Hull, Lewis Probert, Luke Bottomer and summer signing, Dan Crane, in agreeing deals for the season ahead.
Also returning to Dales Lane is striker, Dominic Dell.
“He’s a player with plenty of potential,” added Thomas. “He has scored a lot of goals at youth levels and he has that natural goalscoring instinct.
“I like his attitude and look forward to working with him in order to bring the best out of him.”
