Mark Betts and Jon Palmer have been named as joint-managers of Hellenic League Premier Division club Burnham.

Betts has been at Slough Town, working in the role of academy manager.

Palmer has been brought in to work alongside Betts, with club chairman Gary Reeves excited by the appointment.

Reeves said: “I speak on behalf of the Burnham FC Board when I say that Mark and Jon’s appointments as joint-managers is not only a positive stride forward for the club, but also a very exciting one.

“This also enhances the close links with Slough Town and forms a solid base to build on with our near neighbours.

“We at Burnham are very excited with this appointment and Mark and Jon fully understand what we are trying to achieve and this will fit perfectly into the structure and vision of the club, and we are confident that we can climb up the Hellenic Premier Division after what has been a disappointing campaign to date.

“We are determined to put Burnham FC back on the football map in the local area, and encourage the local community back into the football club”.
