Tranmere Rovers have been setting records this week as Micky Mellon’s men continue in the quest for the National League title side by side with Lincoln City.
Tuesday’s victory over Sutton United took us over the previous Club record of 80 points for a season, and with the win over Solihull Moors, we now sit on 85 points with five matches remaining.
That win over Solihull Moors was also record-equalling. The 9-0 scoreline matched the best-ever winning margin in the National League (previously Football Conference).
It was the second biggest winning margin in the Club’s history, only a 11-1 victory over Durham City in 1928 betters it.
