Guiseley joint-manager Marcus Bignot wants his team to “apply themselves properly” in their last five games as they seek to avoid relegation from Vanarama National League North, report the Telegraph & Argus.

Next up is high-flying Brackley Town, who will be the first three away fixtures for Guiseley in seven days. On Tuesday, they will play Ossett United in the West Riding County Cup final.

“Brackley are a very good team,” said Bignot, who re-iterated the importance of the final five league games.

“We’ve got five cup finals, and although we have a six-point cushion from the bottom three, if we do not win any of those games we could be in trouble. We’re by no means safe.”

“We lost (at Spennymoor Town) on Tuesday because we didn’t apply ourselves properly. We have to do that in the next five games.”
