Paul Bignot is ‘ready to fight’ after signing for lowly AFC Telford United until the end of the season.

The 32-year-old arrives at the New Bucks Head with a wealth of experience. Capable of playing anywhere in defence, he has played for Kidderminster Harriers, Newport County and Icelandic outfit Keflavik – and is the younger brother of former Bucks man Marcus.

“Obviously I’m delighted,” said Bignot on joining shortly after leaving Barrow.

“It all happened pretty quickly and I’m glad to be settled somewhere for the rest of the season. Telford’s position is not great and I’m coming in ready to fight.

“I’m experienced, I’ve played in a lot of different leagues. My aim is to use that experience to my advantage, to help the team.”
