Jake Robinson insists Billericay Town’s aim remains to challenge for promotion to the top tier of non-league football after the National League South club’s takeover was completed.
Glenn Tamplin stepped down as Town’s owner last month, leading to player departures and further doubts in the changing room.
But a consortium of local businessmen are now in control of the club and Robinson, who has won three trophies across two spells at New Lodge, is keen to enjoy more success after matters off the pitch were resolved.
“It is nice to know the takeover has been completed and, I can’t lie, it does affect people,” said Robinson.
“Obviously, at this level, it’s the players’ livelihood and job, so they rely on the stability.
“We haven’t really had that for the last few weeks or so, but we’ve got on with it and let the people behind the scenes deal with that.”
