Dean Inman believes a bumper crowd could give Billericay Town ‘an extra 10 per cent’ when they face Chesterfield in their FA Cup first round replay tonight, report the Basildon Standard.

The AGP Arena is set to welcome the biggest crowd of the season as Billericay look to reach the second round of the competition for the first time in the club’s history.

And Inman, 28, stressed that the National League South high-flyers need the supporters to be the 12th man.

“We are two games away from a potential glamour tie and we believe in ourselves,” said Inman, who is Billericay’s club record signing having joined from Maidenhead United in a £27,600 deal 13 months ago.

“We know it’s going to be very tough and they are a professional side in non-league football.

“While we will all be at work during the day leading up to the game, they will be travelling down and preparing properly.

“It’s always hard playing against full-time teams, but we know we can win if we play to our strengths.

“Upsets happen in the FA Cup and we believe that we are capable of winning the game.”
